This photograph above is that of a Libyan Oasis in the middle of the Sahara Desert.
Located in Ubari, situated in the Fezzan region of Southwestern Libya, this remarkable oasis looks absolutely stunning from an aerial perspective.
Interestingly, thousands of years ago, this area was lush and green. Apparently when human settlers arrived, livestock they brought with them accelerated the transformation of the landscape. In other words the goats chewed through all of the grass.
While the photo looks to be color-enhanced, the captivating dichotomy between desolate and lush is magnificent.
